Reade Allegations Are Hurting Biden – Poll Finds A Third Of Voters Believe Democrats Should Replace Him

The sexual assault allegations against Joe Biden by former Senate staffer Tara Reade are hurting his poll numbers.

A new poll finds a third of voters think the Democrats should replace him with someone else.

That is not good news for his campaign.

Reade allegation hurts Biden’s bid to unite Democrats

Joe Biden’s biggest job right now is to unite the party after a divisive primary.

The Tara Reade allegations aren’t helping.

A new poll and interviews with Democratic strategists indicate that the sexual assault charges immediately complicate the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee’s efforts to broaden his support.

The POLITICO/Morning Consult poll released Tuesday shows that more than a third of voters believe Democrats should abandon Biden as their nominee over the recent claims from the former Senate aide that date back to the early 1990s.

The survey — conducted in the days after Biden appeared on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” on Friday to personally deny the charges for the first time — found 28 percent of Democrats “definitely” or “probably” favor replacing Biden with another nominee to take on President Donald Trump in November.

The prospect, while exceedingly remote, comes as Biden works to coalesce the support of liberals and younger voters who backed someone else in the primary.

On Twitter, some people are even using the hashtag #ReplaceBiden.

This is an election nightmare for Democrats.
