This is great news for Donald Trump in 2020. Hillary Clinton is apparently meeting with Democrats who are expected to run for president. Are they hoping to replicate her failed strategy?
Dan Merica of CNN tweeted the following:
Hillary Clinton continues to meet w/ 2020 Dems.
She met with former Vice President Joe Biden and Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar to talk about 2020 in early February at her home in DC, a source tells CNN.
Clinton has also talked w Harris, Booker, Hickenlooper, Warren & Garcetti.

Here’s some of his report:
Hillary Clinton met with Biden, Klobuchar on 2020
Hillary Clinton held meetings in early February with former Vice President Joe Biden and Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar to talk about the 2020 presidential election, a source close to the 2016 Democratic presidential nominee tells CNN.
The meetings happened at Clinton’s home in Washington, DC, and focused on Biden and Klobuchar’s possible 2020 bids. The meeting between Clinton and Klobuchar happened before the Minnesota Democrat announced her candidacy on February 10 in Minneapolis.
Biden is still considering a bid and is said to be moving closer to a decision on whether to run for president.
Spokespeople for Biden and Klobuchar both confirmed that the meetings occurred.
The meetings are yet another sign that potential Democratic presidential candidates see value in Clinton’s endorsement, in part because Clinton maintains a devoted group of supporters around the country (she won more than 65 million votes just two years ago) and a strong fundraising network.
The Washington Examiner has more on this:
2020 Democratic hopefuls beating a path to Hillary Clinton’s door
Hillary Clinton met with former Vice President Joe Biden and Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar earlier this month to discuss the 2020 presidential race – the latest in a series of White House hopefuls to seek her counsel.
Clinton’s status among Democrats is double-edged. Despite being the overwhelming favorite to beat Donald Trump in 2016, she suffered a stunning loss. In last year’s mid-term elections, Democratic candidates wanted her to stay away from the campaign trail.
At the same time, Clinton won the popular vote by nearly 3 million votes in 2016 and, along with her husband former president Bill Clinton, is half of the most powerful Democratic couple in modern history.
Is this really going to be the Democrat message in 2020?
The real national emergencies:
– Relentless gun violence.
– Children separated from their families at the border.
– Climate change.
– Americans dying for lack of health care.
