Earlier this year, multiple reports suggested that Latino voters across the country were shifting to Republican.
With the election of Mayra Flores (pictured above) in Texas as a Republican in a seat that hadn’t gone to the GOP in a century, this was confirmed.
The Republican party has jumped on this opportunity and is eagerly welcoming Latino voters to the party with a new series of ads and marketing strategies.
Red State reports:
The RNC Has a New Tactic to Gain More Hispanic Voters
The Republican National Committee (RNC) will soon air four Spanish-language advertisements highlighting the Democratic Party’s “failure to deliver for the Hispanic community.”
These ads will be shown in four different states – Arizona, Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Georgia. The ads will appear on Independence Day weekend as Republicans look to keep the momentum going after Mayra Flores’ victory in Texas’ 34th Congressional District.
The Senators that the RNC will target with the Spanish ads are Senators Catherine Cortez Masto (D-NV), Mark Kelly (D-AZ), Raphael Warnock (D-GA), and Pennsylvania Lieutenant Governor and candidate for Senate John Fetterman.
“The home of the Brave and the land of the free has always represented one thing: The American Dream … Today that dream is slipping out of reach.”
In the midst of inflation, rising costs, and the southern border crisis, the RNC believes this is their best chance to win over the majority of Hispanic voters. According to the RNC, the ads “reveal how Democrats have left Hispanic Americans behind.”
This is the right thing to do. Latino voters should know that they’re welcome in the Republican party, as are all people who believe in America, freedom, and our Constitution.
It’s also very smart politics.
With Republicans looking to accelerate the rightward shift among Latino voters, the RNC opened a Hispanic community center in the Atlanta suburbs today.
