The winner of the Miss USA pageant triggered liberals across the United States when she said that healthcare is not a right but a privilege.
NTK Network reported:
Miss USA contestant and eventual winner Kara McCollough said during the question-and-answer of the pageant on Sunday night that affordable health care for all U.S. citizens is “a privilege,” instead of a right.
Host Julianne Hough asked McCollough if she believes affordable health care is a privilege or a right, and McCollough did not equivocate in her answer.
“I’m definitely going to say it’s a privilege,” McCollough said.
McCollough emphasized the need for economic growth to support a sustainable health care system.
“To have health care, you need to have jobs. So we need to cultivate this environment that we’re given the opportunity to have health care as well as jobs to all the Americans,” McCollough said.
