Texas Senator Ted Cruz is already concerned about the potential backlash Republicans will face if they fail to deliver for the American people.
The Hill reported:
In a panel discussion Tuesday, Cruz warned that Democrats, led by Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.), could retake the White House in 2020 if President Trump and Republicans fail to overcome party divides that threaten their ability to govern.
“If we screw all this up, you better believe the American people could elect President Elizabeth Warren,” Cruz warned, according to the Texas Tribune.
But, he added, “if we deliver on all this, it doesn’t matter who they nominate — we win.”
The Texas senator accused members of Trump’s administration of secretly working for the left by undermining the GOP agenda with infighting.
“Those voices in the White House that are trying to get the White House to unload on conservatives, to unload on the Freedom Caucus, are doing the bidding of the left, of Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer,” he said.
Despite the tough-fought and at times vicious campaign that Ted Cruz and Donald Trump ran against each other, Ted Cruz is one of the only people in Washington fighting for President Trump’s agenda!
