The Trump administration wasn’t playing around when on Friday Attorney General Jeff Sessions demanded the resignation of 46 US attorneys that had been appointed under President Obama.
The Washington Examiner reported:
The U.S. attorney for Manhattan who had declined to resign despite a demand from the Justice Department, led to the Trump administration firing him on Saturday.
Preet Bharara declined to tender his resignation on Friday part of a demand from the Justice Department for 46 U.S. attorneys to resign, according to multiple reports. Bhara, who was appointed under Obama in 2009, later tweeted Saturday that he was fired.
“I did not resign,” he tweeted. “Moments ago I was fired. Being the US Attorney in SDNY will forever be the greatest honor of my professional life.”

The move by the Trump administration is apart of their purge of Obama loyalists that are causing problems for the new administration. Bharara was appointed by Barack Obama in 2009.
While the mainstream media is trying to portray the actions of the Trump administration as tyrannical the fact is that this is common practice for any new White House administration.
President Trump is continuing ‘Draining the Swamp’ and the move to fire Preet Bharara is just another example of President Trump keeping his word to the American people.
