It’s always good to hear a celebrity push back against the rest of the liberal Hollywood elite. It’s something that doesn’t happen often enough.
Rob Thomas is best known for his work as the lead singer of the rock band Matchbox 20. He is getting pretty tired of all the whining coming out of the celebrity world.
Thomas made his opinion on Hollywood’s love of Trump bashing clear at the Library of Congress’ “We Write Songs” event.
Off to D.C. to hopefully help the next generation of songwriters be able to support themselves from their work!https://t.co/QTlwQfCkb8

The Hill reports:
Rob Thomas says he’s no Donald Trump supporter, but he’s had enough with Hollywood stars speaking out against the president.
“I’m not a fan of Donald Trump, but I am so tired of hearing celebrities talk about not being a fan of Donald Trump, that it almost seems like white noise,” the Matchbox 20 said Tuesday. “I think that he’s a man that’s not really equipped for the job, but I think no one really cares what I think about that.”
“I have opinions, but my opinions are as a 45-year-old husband, father, taxpayer. No matter what I say, they always kind of come across as a guy who sings music and it’s always, ‘Well you need to shut up!’” the “Lonely No More” singer exclaimed. “I think that there is a huge part of his base that thinks he’s killing it right now.”
Even though Thomas says he’s not the biggest fan of the president, it’s just refreshing to hear an entertainer acknowledge that the majority of people don’t care about what celebrities think about politics.
He’s 100% right.
At this point, all the bad mouthing coming from Hollywood is nothing more than “white noise.”
