Roseanne Barr has released a short new video where she addresses the controversy surrounding her show being dropped by ABC earlier this year. She makes it quite clear that she believes this was all about politics.
Breitbart has the details:
Watch: Roseanne Barr Says ABC Fired Her Because She Voted for Donald Trump
In the 1:06-long clip published on YouTube, Barr touches on a handful of topics, including her racially charged tweet in which she compared former senior Obama aide Valerie Jarrett to an ape and why she believes ABC fired her from massively successful Roseanne reboot.
“Hi, this is Roseanne Barr and I’d like to welcome you to my own studio, where I’m able to speak for myself to my fellow and sister Americans without the filter of the biased media,” Barr began. “This was my statement from the very beginning, and it will continue to be forever because it is the truth…
Barr lamented Hollywood’s notorious double standard against conservative actors and actresses, noting ABC promptly canceled Roseanne before one sponsor bailed on the program because she supports Donald Trump. “Now, instead what happened was about 40 minutes after that my show was canceled before even one advertiser pulled out and I was labeled a racist,” she explained. Why, you ask? Well, the answer is simple. It’s because I voted for Donald Trump and that is not allowed in Hollywood,” Barr explained.

It’s hard to disagree with her analysis here. It did seem purely political.
