School Asks Mom’s Permission For Daughter to Say Pledge Of Allegiance And Her Response Was EPIC

A mom in Florida was recently sent a school form asking for permission to allow her daughter to recite the Pledge of Allegiance. The mom’s response has gone viral.

FOX 5 in Atlanta reports:

Last Thursday, Micah Brienen said his niece brought home a Pledge of Allegiance request for her parents to sign and return.

The form reads, “I understand my rights as a parent and I request that my child, noted above, be excused from reciting the Pledge of Allegiance. This request includes standing and placing his/her right hand over his/her heart.”

Brienen’s sister-in-law wasn’t pleased with the form. She had the following response in the line that she was supposed to sign:

“This is the dumbest thing I have ever read and I am so ashamed of this.”

Brienen shared a picture of the paper on Facebook. His post has been shared more than 9,900 times.

“What is happening to our country?!?” Brienen said.

Brienen said on Facebook the positive response to his post has been overwhelming.

“Never in my life have I been more encouraged to be an American citizen and Patriot,” he said.

We need more people in America to stand up to this madness.
