Dr. Sebastian Gorka spoke at the Conservative Political Action Conference this week and warned that the far left in America wants to go much further than they are even saying.
Gorka’s family escaped Communism, and he drew on that history in his speech. It was pretty powerful.
The Washington Examiner has details:
Sebastian Gorka points to ‘Green New Deal’ in warning CPAC they are on ‘frontlines of war’ against communism
Sebastian Gorka, former deputy assistant to President Trump, warned conservatives Thursday they are on the “frontlines of war” to counter communism’s rise in the United States — pointing to Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s Green New Deal resolution.
“It’s a watermelon: green on the outside, deep deep red communist on the inside,” Gorka said of the Green New Deal at the Conservative Political Action Conference.
The resolution, introduced this month by Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., and Sen. Ed Markey, D-Mass., calls for achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions, along with guarantees for jobs, higher education, and high-quality healthcare, among other things, to all….
“They want to take your pickup truck, they want to rebuild your home, they want to take away your hamburgers. This is what Stalin dreamt about, but never achieved,” Gorka said. “You are on the frontlines of the war against communism coming back to America under the guise of Democratic socialism — which is just the PC term for communism.”

Here’s the whole speech, if you want to watch it:
Leftists are making fun of this speech because Gorka mentioned hamburgers. Yet just last week, it was Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez who said America needs to eat fewer hamburgers and would do so as part of her plan.
The Daily Caller reported:
REP. OCASIO-CORTEZ INSTRUCTS AMERICANS TO EAT FEWER HAMBURGERS
Democratic New York Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez remains unfazed by criticism of her policy ideas.
The freshman rep. continued to defend her Green New Deal, which plans to rid America of greenhouse gasses in a decade, on Showtime’s late-night “Desus & Mero” show Thursday.
She brought up the issue of factory farms by addressing America’s supposed mass-consumption of hamburgers.
“In the deal, what we talk about — and it’s true — is that we need to take a look at factory farming, you know? Period. It’s wild,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “And so it’s not to say you get rid of agriculture. It’s not to say we’re gonna force everybody to go vegan or anything crazy like that. But it’s to say, ‘Listen, we gotta address factory farming. Maybe we shouldn’t be eating a hamburger for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Like, let’s keep it real.”
Are we not supposed to take her at her word?
