Many governors in the United States have taken full advantage of the pandemic to enact strict policies that Americans have been forced to endure.
In various states, these policies are killing jobs and businesses.
People have had enough and are even practicing civil disobedience in some places.
Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky recently called out the governors who are responsible.
Newsmax reports:
Sen. Rand Paul Says Governors Becoming ‘Czars’ During Pandemic
Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., lambasted governors for locking down their states during the coronavirus pandemic.
“You know, nobody ever intended that governors would be sort of czars or dictators in charge of the economy,” Paul told The Epoch Times on Friday.
“In my state, you can’t have indoor dining, you can’t have outdoor dining, and your kids are not in school. We’re worse than New York City right now. In Kentucky, our governor has shut the schools down even though all of the science shows that — and all of the evidence — that you really aren’t having a surge when you have the schools open.”

Governors around the country have imposed restrictions to varying degrees during the pandemic. In Paul’s home state, Democrat Gov. Andy Beshear has implemented a mask mandate, limited private gathering sizes, and set minimal capacity for indoor small businesses such as gyms. All schooling is done remotely. Restaurantscan offer only takeout.
Good for Senator Paul for speaking out.
So this year, while the petty tyrants in many of our states closed the schools (against all science), Congress said oh, we can do better than that. So they spent $25 MILLION to teach English to rural, unemployed Romanians.

They also spent $36 million to study why hair turns gray. I have a few theories on that, and they all have to do with being in the U.S. Senate with people who vote for the things in this waste report.

We could sit here all day and talk about petty tyrants both thinking they should run your life, and then thinking the rules don’t apply to them. No one in government who shut down a business lost a paycheck. Think about that.

More Republicans should be following Rand Paul’s lead on this.
