The Democrats’ war on Trump supporters continues.
Former Trump adviser Steve Bannon has been indicted by a federal grand jury for refusing to answer questions about January 6th from the Democrat inquisition in Congress.
This is nothing more than a political witchhunt aimed at Trump’s allies.
NBC News reports:
Former Trump adviser Steve Bannon indicted by federal grand jury for contempt of Congress
Former Trump adviser Steve Bannon was indicted by a federal grand jury Friday, charged with contempt of Congress for refusing to answer questions from the House Committee investigating the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.
The indictment is a first. No one has been prosecuted before for contempt of Congress when executive privilege was asserted. The past cases involved defendants whose testimony was sought regarding their government service. Bannon, by contrast, left his White House job in 2017, well before the period of interest to the House committee.
He was charged Friday with two contempt counts — one for refusing to appear for a deposition and another for declining to produce documents requested by the committee.
If convicted, Bannon could face up to a year behind bars and a fine of up to $100,000.

A law enforcement official said Bannon is expected to surrender on Monday and appear in court that afternoon.
Neither Bannon nor his attorney immediately responded to a request for comment.
This is completly unfair and wrong.
Eric Holder and Lois Lerner both got a pass.
Bannon was indicted for the exact same thing.

Eric Holder was held in Contempt of Congress but the Obama/Biden DOJ never indicted him. Why is Steve Bannon held to a different standard?

The snap indictment of Steve Bannon by the Garland Justice Department is an extraordinary and frightening abuse of power.

Democrats have weaponized the Justice Department.
