The Evangelical community was one of the keys to Trump’s victory in 2016 and he is courting their vote again for 2020.
This is one of the aspects of Trump’s core support that the liberal media just can’t seem to understand, yet it’s so simple.
Trump may not be an Evangelical himself but he respects them and defends their right to believe and worship as they see fit. This has made him an ally and friend for many Christians.
Now he is preparing for an event in Florida to reaffirm his commitment to people of faith.
The Washington Times reports:
Trump campaign’s evangelical coalition launch to be held at Florida megachurch
The Trump campaign’s launch of “Evangelicals for Trump” will be held at a Florida megachurch with a capacity of 7,000 congregants, the campaign said Friday.
The outreach event for a key part of the president’s base will be held next Friday in Miami at El Rey Jesus, or King Jesus International Ministry, according to a campaign announcement of a sign-up for free tickets.
The church ministers to as many as 15,000 congregants per week. A majority of the church’s congregants are Hispanic, and the church offers services in Spanish and English.
Campaign officials had said last month they were planning to launch the coalition, but the date wasn’t set until after a prominent Christian magazine called for Mr. Trump’s removal from office.
Brit Hume understands what it’s all about:
People mystified by Evangelical Christian support for Trump don’t seem to get the reason why, which is not that Evangelicals approve of his personal conduct. It is that they think he’s their enemy’s enemy and he’s willing to fight.

Trump is very smart to do this:
President Trump Will Launch “Evangelicals for Trump” Coalition to Support His Re-Election Bid
Raise your hand if you're a pro-life Christian voter who will be voting for President Trump next year!
