Two and half hours after announcing his pick for the Supreme Court nomination, President Donald Trump made his way to the Keystone state to celebrate and campaign.

The president made a grand entrance in PA Saturday night. Air Force One touched down at Harrisburg International Airport, and with a short walk to the podium where he was greeted with cheers. His first words focused on the Supreme Court.

“I just came from the Rose Garden where I nominated Judge Amy Coney Barrett,” President Trump said.

President Trump chose to celebrate in Pennsylvania, touting his top pick for the Supreme Court.

“It didn’t really matter if it was a man or woman, but I think it’s fair, [I’m] happy to see a woman,” said Paulita Vidlt, a Harrisburg resident. She’s ecstatic about the nomination of Judge Amy Coney Barrett.

“It shows that he’s the president, and he knows how to make his decision and when he has to make his decision,” Vidlt said.

Supporters flocked from across the commonwealth, but also nearby states: the Supreme Court Seat was a major reason for coming.
