“It’s great to be back in my home state, Florida, to make my official return to the campaign trail,” Trump declared.

Trump had been scheduled to attend a rally at the airport Oct. 2, but the event was canceled after he contracted COVID-19…

“I feel so powerful,” said Trump, displaying no obvious signs of lingering infection. “I’ll walk into that audience. I’ll walk in there, I’ll kiss everyone in that audience. I’ll kiss the guys and the beautiful women … everybody. I’ll just give ya a big fat kiss.”

Monday’s rally happened a little more than three weeks before the Nov. 3 election, with Trump widely viewed as needing to win Florida if he is going to defeat Democrat Joe Biden. Sanford is in Central Florida’s Interstate 4 corridor, which is typically a fiercely contested region of the state.

Before Trump took the stage, Rep. Matt Gaetz, Rep. Michael Waltz and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis took the stage and urged voters to head to the polls and cast votes for Trump.

It was a huge crowd:
