It was recently revealed that Congress has a slush fund which is used to compensate victims of sexual abuse. Trump was asked today if the names of Congress members who have settled cases should be released. He said yes.
Bloomberg reports:
Trump Calls for Names of Lawmakers Who Have Settled Sex Claims
President Donald Trump called on Congress to release the names of lawmakers who have settled sexual harassment claims.
“I do” think Congress should disclose settlements details, Trump told reporters Tuesday.
Democratic Representative John Conyers, the longest-serving member of the U.S. House, acknowledged settling a sexual harassment complaint against him but denied the accusation in the case, saying his office acted to avoid “protracted litigation.”

Democrats can’t give a straight answer about Al Franken but Trump was straight to the point on this question. He’s right, too. The American people deserve to know which members of Congress have used a taxpayer funded account to settle abuse claims.
This goes beyond government transparency. It’s the people’s money.
