WATCH: Trump Asks Troops To Make Military Their Career: “You’ll Like It Better With Me” (VIDEO)

Today, President Trump paid a surprise visit to MacDill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida.

MacDill is home to many important Commands:

“MacDill is currently an Air Mobility Command installation, home to the 6th Air Mobility Wing, and its 310th Airlift Squadron, flying the C-37, and the 91st Air Refueling Squadron, flying the KC-135, augmented by the Air Force Reserve Command’s 927th Air Refueling Wing and 63d Air Refueling Squadron flying the same KC-135s. MacDill AFB is also home to the headquarters for two of the U.S. military’s joint warfighting combatant commands: Headquarters, United States Central Command (USCENTCOM), and Headquarters, United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). Both commands are independent from one another and each is commanded by a respective 4-star general or admiral. Two additional sub-unified commands are also headquartered at MacDill AFB: Commander, United States Marine Corps Forces Central Command (COMUSMARCENT), commanded by a 3-star general, and United States Special Operations Command Central (USSOCCENT), commanded by a 2-star general.”

In a roundtable discussion, Trump asked the soldiers and airmen about their plans to continue serving.

An officer pointed out that most had joined after 9/11. Trump said he hoped they would continue.

From the video:

Trump: “You gonna make a career out of it?”

Soldier: “Still deciding, sir.”

Trump: “Oh, come on. You have to stay. You’ll like it better with me. You’ll see.”

The officer at the table said Trump should be a re-enlistment counselor.

Trump is right. With a President who values the military, it’s gonna get better. With a President who gives the military the right missions, it’s gonna get better. With a President who gives the military the tools they need, it’s gonna get better.

It’s gonna get better!
