President Trump released his first weekly address.
Except he changed the name. It’s no longer the “Weekly Address Of The President.”
It’s now “Your Weekly Address.”
It’s a small change. But it shows the kind of changes Trump is making.
He’s making his Administration no longer about the President.
He’s making his Administration about the People.
“‘Every day,’ he said, ‘we’re fulfilling the promise we made to the American people.’
He touted the executive actions he has taken on Obamacare, TPP, immigration, etc., though the president does not specifically mention the order banning entry into the U.S. by refugees and people from a few predominantly Muslim nations dominating the news cycle today. (The address was taped Friday morning.)
‘This administration has hit the ground running at a record pace,’ Trump concludes. ‘Everybody’s talking about it. We’re doing it with speed and we’re doing it with intelligence, and we will never ever stop fighting on behalf of the American people.‘”
