While Trump Talks ‘Law and Order’, Chris Matthews and BLM Cry ‘Racism’

A major theme in Donald Trump’s acceptance speech was “law and order” which allowed him to show respect and admiration for law enforcement officers. It has been a theme that was present throughout the Republican Convention with speakers like Sheriff David Clarke and the parents of those killed by illegal immigrants.

Our laws matter. Our Constitution matters. And, the men and women in blue have a tough job that, given the incredible rhetoric from President Obama and the liberal media, has gotten tougher and more dangerous than ever. Without the police and respect for the law, no lives will matter. It will be survival of the fittest.

But, throughout the Convention, Chris Matthews never missed a chance to twist a simple statement and claim it’s racist. Joy Reid followed suit to twist around the Johnson Resolution (which prevents churches from making political statements) and charter schools to also have a racist undertone.

More from Breitbart:

During MSNBC’s coverage of the RNC on Thursday night, anchor Chris Matthews stated that the phrase “law and order” “carries a racial tone to it.”

Matthews said, “[W]hy did he use the phrase with all its implications and attitude, ‘law and order.’ He didn’t say, ‘Let’s enforce the law.’ He did that once, most of it was the phrase ‘law and order,’ that was so Nixonian. I think that carries a racial tone to it. And by the way, safe schools, the reason we’re going to have vouchers and charter schools is not for better education, but to get the kids away from the bad neighborhoods.

Fellow anchor Joy Reid added, “And the Johnson amendment. A lot these were signals that people in the audience, on the right would understand, I’m going to let the churches get directly involved in elections. Remember, the Johnson amendment was about some of the white churches in the South that were inveighing against the Civil Rights Act. That too has a racial tone.”

Matthews added, “The Christian academies, which were created so they wouldn’t have a public school.”

As per usual on MSNBC, everything Republicans or conservatives do or say is racist or has some racial tones to it. Why wouldn’t any parent of any race, who had the opportunity to raise their kids in a better environment and send them to a better school, do just that?  Somehow that’s racist? Ridiculous. Seriously, Chris, lay off the booze.

Not to be outdone, Black Lives Matter put out an official statement about Trump’s acceptance speech as well. Once again, the call for law and order was deemed racist and fascist. I suggest the BLM co-founders get a dictionary and look up the words. It’s obvious they haven’t a clue about the meaning or usage of the words. They just are looking for another excuse to grab camera time, justify cop killers and honor thugs like Michael Brown.

The complete BLM statement from Breitbart:

Cleveland, OH — Tonight’s acceptance speech from Republican Presidential nominee, Donald J. Trump was possibly the most negative acceptance speech in recorded history. In his 75 minutes on stage, the nominee —whether couched in dog-whistling or outright yelling— managed to vilify and criminalize good people of all walks ranging from Latino immigrants, to Muslims, to Black people to which the co-founders of Black Lives Matter have issued the following response:

“The terrifying vision that Donald J. Trump is putting forward casts him alongside some of the worst fascists in history.

“Black people and our allies have unequivocally demanded a new path forward for safety in our communities, one that involves real accountability for police.

“While our movement envisions a bright future where everyone is treated with dignity and respect, Trump is proposing a new, dark age where police have carte blanche authority to terrorize our communities.

“Whether it was Richard Nixon unleashing a war on drugs or George Wallace’s more overt war on Black people, we’ve heard it all before and won’t be fooled again,” said Alicia Garza, Co-Founder of Black Lives Matter.

“The terrorist on our televisions tonight was Donald Trump. He pledged to fight for Americans, while threatening the vast majority of this country with imprisonment, deportation and a culture of abject fear.

“His doublespeak belies his true nature: a charlatan who will embolden racists and destroy communities of color. He is a disgrace. White people of conscience must forcefully reject this hatred immediately,” said Patrisse Cullors, Co-Founder of Black Lives Matter.

This statement shows the utter ignorance and weak-mindedness behind the BLM movement. It is a movement based on a lie that is pushing a racist agenda of revenge. Criminals should be in prison, illegal immigrants should be deported and Muslim terrorists shouldn’t be allowed into the country. That’s not racist or fascist, it’s the rule of law.
