Red Alert Politics reports:
Poll: Kid Rock leads Senator Stabenow in Michigan
The 2018 midterm elections are more than a year away, but voters in Michigan are down on their incumbent Sen. Debbie Stabenow (D).
In a new poll from Delphi Analytica, 26 percent of voters would choose to re-elect Stabenow, while 30 percent of voters would cast a ballot for Robert Ritchie, also known as “Kid Rock,” in a hypothetical matchup. 44 percent of voters preferred not to answer.
Ritchie isn’t even the Republican nominee yet, however, he appears to be a sure-bet to face Stabenow in November 2018. Earlier in July, Kid Rock teased he would be running for Senate in Michigan by posting a photo and website link onto Twitter.
When asked to react to his potential Senate run, Sen. Stabenow said, “I know we both share a love of music. I concede he is better at playing the guitar and I’ll keep doing what I do best, which is fighting for Michigan.”
Rock responded, “Senator Stabenow and I do share a love of music, although probably not the same kind. I concede she is better at playing politics than I am so I’ll keep doing what I do best, which is being a voice for tax paying, hardworking AMERICANS…”
He’s got a winning message, that’s for sure!
