The Hill reports:

“Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt, a longtime foe of the Obama administration’s environmental regulations, is President-elect Donald Trump’s pick to run the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), according to reports.

Reuters, citing the transition team, reported Wednesday afternoon that Trump has decided to nominate Pruitt to the position. Earlier Wednesday, Politico reported that Pruitt was Trump’s top choice for the spot.

Transition officials have not responded to requests for comment from The Hill.
Pruitt is a noted opponent of the Obama administration’s EPA.

He has sued Obama to challenge nearly all of his major environmental regulations, such as the landmark climate rule for power plants, as well as water rules and standards for ground-level ozone pollution, haze, methane and more.”

Pruitt filed a suit on behalf of Oklahoma against the EPA last year.

That’s when the EPA expanded its definition of “water” to include just about everything.

The Tulsa World-Herald reported at the time:

Pruitt claims that the EPA’s broad redefinition of long-standing regulatory jurisdiction places virtually all land and water under an untenable regulatory burden, according to a statement released by his office.
“Respect for private property rights have allowed our nation to thrive, but with the recently finalized rule, farmers, ranchers, developers, industry and individual property owners will now be subject to the unpredictable, unsound, and often byzantine regulatory regime of the EPA,” Pruitt said in the statement. “I, and many other local, state and national leaders across the country, made clear to the EPA our concerns and opposition to redefining the ‘Waters of the U.S.’
“However, the EPA’s brazen effort to stifle private property rights has left Oklahoma with few options to deter the harm that its rule will do.”

Another great pick from Trump. He’s going to stop the EPA from its damaging regulations.

Looks like we’re getting America back!
